Jonathan has practiced in the City for close to 30 years and has a wealth of experience in the insurance industry with several reported cases which demonstrate his abilities as a leader in the areas of construction, dispute resolution, insurance, marine, aviation, general commercial matters and social media. Jonathan has been endorsed by many clients, with over 50 endorsements for litigation alone and his cases speak for themselves – his clients trust him to deal with complex litigation in an efficient manner.

Jonathan acts for a wide range of companies and individuals – he is described by many as user friendly, pragmatic, and a good hand in a crisis. He will always seek to do the very best for his clients but will always try and resolve matters through mediation or alternative dispute resolution. In the absence of settlement, Jonathan is tenacious, resourceful, and will apply his many years of experience in achieving the best possible result for his clients, in particular in construction litigation.

Jonathan regularly advises clients upon the insurance issues that can impact upon complex contractual scenarios, from pre-contract to post-completion, including strategic and dispute avoidance insurance which if placed correctly, can take care of the many and varied issues that can arise in any complex contractual situation. He can equally assist individuals in relation to their personal insurance needs

Jonathan regularly presents seminars and lectures to the public, insurers, banks and other lawyers, on a range of topics, including social media. He has also conducted a number of Arbitrations, before both the LMAA and ICC and dealt with boundary disputes, defended planning applications, and property transfers after matrimonial issues
